The Bromus Dam camping area is located 32km south of Norseman or 170km  north of Esperance. The Bromus Dam was built in 1925 by the railways to supply water for steam trains along the Nullarbor. The Bromus Dam rest area is a large camping area with plenty of shade and sunny locations. There are picnic tables, rubbish bins and fireplaces in designated locations. The camping site on the Nullarbor Plain is suitable for large rigs.

Thre are limited facilities at the camping area, Bromus Dam. There are no toilets, no water and no showers. There are rubbish bins and firepots. Pets are OK. The Bromus Dam camping area is a recommended campsite to stay overnight between Norseman and Esperance in the Great Western Woodlands. Bromus dam is impressive and has been well-preserved considering it is over 90 years old.
