Balladonia is a small roadhouse community located on the Eyre Highway in Western Australia, and is the first stop east of Norseman on the long journey east across the Nullarbor Plain. Between Balladonia and Caiguna is a 146.6 kilometre stretch of the highway which is one of the longest straight stretches of road in the world. Balladonia features a road house, which is a modern air-conditioned facility for travellers and that features a display of Skylab debris and newspaper clippings, as well as a pub and motel rooms. Access via 4WD is possible to the start of the cliffs, believed to be the longest in the world, of the Great Australian Bight from Balladonia. Visitors can obtain a range of travel and tourist information from the Balladonia Roadhouse. The Balladonia Roadhouse has a caravan park with 48 powered and 100 unpowered sites set amongst the trees and bushland. Guests can take advantage of clean showers and bathrooms, a maintained camper’s kitchen, clean BBQ and entertaining area, below ground pool, children’s playground, a well-stocked shop and cafeteria and an à la carte restaurant.
