The Bromus Dam camping area is located 32km south of Norseman or 170km north of Esperance. The Bromus Dam was built in 1925 by the railways to supply water for steam trains along the Nullarbor. The Bromus Dam rest area is a large camping area with plenty of shade and sunny locations. There are picnic tables, rubbish bins, and fireplaces in designated locations. The camping site on the Nullarbor Plain is suitable for large rigs. The Bromus Dam Camping area is set back a relatively short distance off the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway. There are several shaded campsites available if you are lucky. Parling is on gravel, there is no power, no showers but basic toilets and picnic tables.
