The Kathala Pass Rest Area Mundrabilla Camping Nullarbor Plain has water tanks which makes it a popular place to rest overnight. However, be aware there is no guarantee there will be water and if there is it must be boiled before drinking. There are no toilets at this location, just the odd rubbish bin. All vehicles staying overnight at the Kathala Pass Rest Area Mundrabilla must be fully self-contained. Pets are ok if kept on a lead and under control at all times. The Kathala Pass Rest Area, overnight stop is set back off the Eyre Highway some 600 metres and has two large undercover water tanks. There is also some shade beside these tanks for a break, and room to park your van further back if you are planning an overnight stay.
